14+12n=11n-37
subtract 11n from both sides and subtract 14 from both sides
n= -51

12x + 14 = 11x - 37
12x - 11x = -37 - 14
x = -51
you put all the x's on one side and everything else on the other side, and then solve the equation by simplifying
