So I am assuming this is a literal equation so v will be equal to u-z over w or u-z/w (fraction written: u-z numerator and w denominator)

u = vw + z Subtract z from both sides
u - z = vw Divide both sides by w

(u - z)/(w) = v Switch the sides to make it easier to read
v =
(u - z)/(w)
