In a classroom of 32 students, 14 are male. What percentage of the class is female?

Would someone mind telling me how I figure this out, OR how to set it up.
Math has always been my most difficult subject so anything you think i may know, go ahead and tell me :)
I know how to do some percentages, then this one just draws a blank when I try to work it out, I assume because I don't know where to start. Thanks!

first you have to set up your fractions so:
14/32=x/100
you then cross multiply and get:
100*14=32x
then you keep solving for x:
1400=32x
(then divide both sides by 32)
x=43.75
so this means that 43.75 of the class is male so then you subtract that from 100 to get the female percentage:
100-43.75=56.25
so that means 56.25℅ of the class is female

You know that 14/32 are boys. Divide this out and you get 0.4375, move the decimal two places to the right and you get 14/32 = 43.75%. The percentage of boys plus girls must equal 100%, so knowing that is the percentage of boys, 100% minus 43.75% must equal the percentage of girls. 100% - 43.75% = 56.25% so 56.25% is the percentage of girls in the class.
