Why has deforestation been a problem in both Russian and North American deciduous forests?

I know the answer is B for sure, Because I just finished the test, and it showed me that the correct answer is B. Hope that helps.

The correct answer is B. Because deciduous forests have fertile soil and a long growing season

The growing season at those places can last up to 6 months. The soil is extremely fertile so naturally, deforestation can create problems.
