the answer is b. I always use long division to do this kind of problem.
2x(x+5) = 2x^2 + 10x --> 2x^2+17x - 2x^2+10x= 7x
drag 35 down, then you get, 7x+35. (x+5)7=7x+35.
Therefore (2x^3+17x+35)/(x+5) = 2x+7
