Answer: 24 drops

Explanation:

Given : To paint a sunset, we make a shade of orange paint using 5 drops of red paint for every 8 drops of yellow paint.

⇒ The drops of red paint is proportional to the drops of yellow paint to paint a sunset.

If we use 15 drops of red paint therefore by direct proportion we get,

(8)/(5)=(x)/(15)\\\Rightarrow\ x=(8)/(5)*15\\\Rightarrow\ x=8*3=24, where x is the number of drops of yellow paint.

Thus we need 24 drops of yellow paint.
