If a number is a root of a polynomial, then we substitute the number to x of the polynomial, the answer or y is equal to zero. Hence, in this situation, if (x - 2) is a factor, the root is equal to 2. This means then that upon substituting 2 to the function, y is equal to zero. Answer then is A. f(2) = 0
