In the given pattern, the result on the right hand side of the equation is obtained by using the numbers on the left hand side and multiplying the number on the left with the sum of one and the number on the right. So the pattern becomes 1 x (4 + 1) = 5, 2 x (5+1) = 12 and so on. In order to compute 8 + 11, we will do 8 x (11 + 1) = 8 x 12 = 96. Therefore, 96 is the answer
