2 points9. Darell and Josie are making presentations for class. Darell's slideshowstarts with a verbal introduction that is 5 seconds long, and then eachslide is left up for 10 seconds. Josie leaves each slide onscreen for 9seconds, and her introduction lasts 19 seconds. Write two equations forthis situation: one for Darell and one for Josie. *Darell: y= 10s+5 Josie: y=9s+192 points10. Darell and Josie notice that their presentations have both the samenumber of slides and the same duration. How long is each presentation?How many slides are in each presentation? *tation is 145 seconds and there are 14 slides.

9) for Darell's the equation will be:

y=5+10x

where y are the total second the presentation take and x the number of slides.

and for Josie will be:

y=19+9x

10) if the presentations have the same duration and slides we can made the equation equal so:

\begin{gathered} 5+10x=19+9x \\ 10x-9x=19-5 \\ x=14 \end{gathered}

So the have 14 slides and now we can replace that:

\begin{gathered} y=5+10(14) \\ y=5+140 \\ y=145 \end{gathered}

So the presentations take 145 seconds
