Positive 6x is is subtracted on the left side, which in turn is moved to the right side. As 3y = -6x + 6 another way of saying this would be the inverse of 6x = -6x.

Get the equation to slope-intercept form: y = mx + b

6x + 3y = 6

Subtract 6x from both sides. This will give you 3y = -6x + 6.

Then, divide by 3 on both sides. This gives you y = -6x + 2.

2 is your y intercept and -6 is your slope.
