You go out to eat with your family, and you agree to leave the tip. What is a 15% tip on a $58.0 bill? I know the answer is $8.70 but why is that? Can someone explain step by step please?

Multiply\ percent\ by\ cost\ of\ eat\\\\15\%*58=\ \ \ | 15\%=(15)/(100)=0,15\\\\0,15*58=8,7\$\\\\ Tip\ is\ equal\ to\ 8,7\$.
