In simplest form, what is the ratio of triangles to circles?

A set of shapes is arranged as follows: triangle, circle, square, circle, circle, square, triangle, circle.

Let

T-------> number of triangles in the data set

C-------> number of circles in the data set

S-------> number of squares in the data set

N------> number of total elements in the data set

we have

Set=(triangle, circle, square, circle, circle, square, triangle, circle)

we know that

T=2\\ C=4\\ S=2\\ N=8

The ratio of triangles to circles is equal to

r=(T)/(C) \\ \\ r=(2)/(4)

Divide by
2 boths numerator and denominator

r=((2)/(2))/((4)/(2)) \\ \\ r=(1)/(2)

therefore

the answer is

the ratio of triangles to circles is equal to
(1)/(2)

There are 3 shapes present.

Triangle - 2
Circle - 4
Square - 2

Ratio of triangles to cirles: 2 triangles to 4 circles ⇒ 2/4
2/4 simplified to 1/2.
