Explanation:

Volume of the pool = 30 gallons

It took 5 min to fill 1/4 of the pool

Filling rate:

• 5x = 1/4*30
• x = 30/(5*4)
• x = 30/20
• x = 1.5 gal/min

Filling rate is 1.5 gal/min

Time needed to fill the pool:

• 30 / 1.5 = 20 min
