There are 4 quarts in a gallon. 4 times 5 is 20 and 28 divided by 20 is 1.4. So the cost of one quart of the oil is $1.40

Okay so 1gallon = 4 quarts. $28.00÷5= $5.6 per gallon. Then since it there is 4 quarters in a gallon so divide $5.6 by 4. $5.6÷4= $1.4. So one quart of oil is $1.4.
