We have to find the line that pass through points (-7,0) and (0,6).

The points given are the intercepts of the line, so the slope will be:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(6-0)/(0-(-7))=(6)/(7)

We then can write the slope-point equation as:

\begin{gathered} y-y_2=m(x-x_2) \\ y-6=(6)/(7)(x-0) \\ y=(6)/(7)x+6 \\ 7\cdot y=6x+6\cdot7 \\ 7y=6x+42 \\ 6x-7y+42=0 \end{gathered}

Answer: the equation in general form is 6x - 7y + 42 = 0
