State true or false. Within the main group elements, a family on the periodic table has the same number of electrons on in the valence level.

That statement is true

The periodic table divided into these families :
- Alkali
The family that tend to form +1 cations
- Alkali Earth merals
The family that tend to form 2+ cations
- Halogens
The family that tend to form 1- anions
- Oxygen family
The family that tend to form 2- anions
