Then we adjust the part to towards the percentage given.

Number of students that named sport hockey = 34

The percentage of sport hockey = 68%

Let the total number of students = y

Total number of students × percentage of sport hockey = Number of students that named sport hockey

y × 68% = 34

y × 0.68 = 34

y = 34/0.68

y = 50

Total number of students = 50
