5 (9 - 3) = w × 9 - 5 × 3
:First, distribute on the left side
45 - 15 = w × 9 - 5 × 3
:Then, take 45 - 15 on the left side and - 5 × 3 (Because of PEMDAS)
30 = w × 9 - 15
:Next, take 9 - 15
(
30 = w × -6
)
÷ -6
:Then, divide the equation by -6.
-5 = w
