A law is something that is not only proven to be true, but widely accepted and isn't going to be proven wrong because we have so much evidence.
A theory is something that is therotically correct but we don't have that much evidence and it may change over time as we learn more about the theory

A scientific law is a statement about how the world around us works and is accepted everywhere at all times. (Ex: law of gravity)and a scientific theory is well supported and accepted but can change over time with new evidence. (Ex: atomic theory)
