We can calculate the area of a triangle by means of the following formula:


A=(b* h)/(2)

Where h is the height of the triangle (from the base to the opposite upper vertex) and b is the length of the base of the triangle.

In this case, h equals 12 ft since this is the distance between the base of the triangle and the upper vertex and b equals 14 ft.

By replacing these values into the above equation, we get:


A=(12*14)/(2)=(168)/(2)=84

Then, the area of the road equals 84 square feet
