To write in scientific notation is necessary to look

1.How many zeroes are in each ofnthe numbers

2. How many ciphers have each number

3. Apply rule of multiplication and division of exponents

Then 1st problem

37,000x 7000

total zeroes are 6

total cipher of each number 5 and 4

Apply rule of multiplication

So then

10^6 x 37x 7 = 259 x 10^ 6

2nd exercise

0.0005/0.003 , 4 in one and 3 in other one

there are 7 zeroes

total cipher numbers are 5 and 4

Apply rule of division

So in rule of division the number of zeros are substracted,and change the sign of the result

THIS IS KEY so then 4-3 = 1.

Changing the sign it gives =-1

Now elevate 10 ^ -1

Now divide ciphers 5/3

Finally multiply both results

5/3 x 10^-1

Now 3rd exercise

400,000x 50,000

This is the same as the first exercise, multiplication

Apply rule of multiplication

So then

here there are 8 zeroes at numerator and 4 zeroes at denominator

Apply law of division of exponents

10^-8/ 10^-4= 10^ (-8- (-4)) = 10^ ( -4)

now divide 6/4 = 1.5

Finally multiply both results. 1.5 x 10^-4
