How are weathering and erosion similar

Weathering is the process of breaking down rocks. Whereas, erosion is moving the sediment away from the original location. Erosion cannot happen without weathering, they work together going hand in hand. They both wear away rocks. The processes collaborate to break down rocks by removing particles and sediment. (Water helps both processes to occur.)

Weathering is when wind blows so hard into rocks and cliffs that they eventually start crumbling off into the water. Erosion is when water hits these surfaces and the rock also comes off. See how they both weaken rocky structures? :))
