The estimated weight of the baby guinea pig is 0.5 ounces more than its actual weight which is only 3.0 ounces. To determine the percent error, divide 0.5 ounces by 3.0 which will give an answer of approximately 0.17. Multiply the value with 100% to get the percent error. Thus, the percent error is 17%.
