What is the value of x in equation -2(x+6)=24-8x?

so you would distribute -2 and then get -2x+6=24-8x. Then you add -8x to -2x and get 6x +6 =24 then you’d subtract 6 from 24 and get 6x=18 the you’d divide 6 and get X=3
