They are exactly the same number. .500 .50 is actually written as .5
When you are to the right of the decimal point, any ending zeroes are erased.

They are all equal, since their values are all equal to five tenths, or one half. The zeros in 0.500 and 0.50, equal just that - zero. Since they equal zero, you can cross them out, which leaves you with 0.5.
