The correct answer is B worn because if you put a period after worn it creates two simple sentences so worn could have a semi-colon after it
and still would make sense

Answer: B. worn

A semicolon must be placed after the word worn in order to joined two ideas in the one sentence. The two ideas that is being connected by the semicolon is the idea of the tattered curtains and the idea of buying new ones.
