x=1,the equation=16 ; x=2,the equation=32; by such analogy,when x=6,the equation=512. so the answer is x=6.

2^(x + 3) = 512
ln(2^(x + 3)) = ln(512)
(x + 3)ln(2) = ln(512)
ln(2) ln(2)
(x + 3)ln(2) = ln(2^9)
ln(2) ln(2)
(x + 3)ln(2) = 9ln(2)
ln(2) ln(2)
x + 3 = 9
- 3 - 3
x = 6
