3 1/4 = 13/4
13/4 - 3/4 = 10/4 also known as 2 2/4 or 2 1/2

2 1/2 more inches of snow fell

Well what we would is subtract! I am going to tell you the answer first it is 2 1/2! First you find an improper fraction for 3 1/4 which is 13/4 then you subtract! 13/4 - 3/4= 10/6! You turn 10/6 into mixed number which is 2 1/2!
