A vehicle has a mass of 1965 kg. It is travelling at a speed of 28.0 m/s. Determine the kinetic energy of the vehicle.

Write your answer using 3 significant digits. This would require the use of scientific notation.

(NOTE: Here is how i tried to solve:

Ek = 1/2 mv^2

mass = 1965 kg

speed = 28.0 m/s

= 1/2 x 1965 kg x (28.0 m/s)

= 27, 510

= 2.75 x 10^4 )

Your formula is correct. However, it seems you forgot to square the velocity :)
