John Adams is, to some effect, the forgotten founding father (other than Hamilton). He was a part of the Comittee that wrote the Declaration, was instrumental in securing funds for America during the revolutionary war, helped negotiate the Treaty of Paris, and served as Vice President and President.
In the way of lasting impacts, he was very helpful in forming the United States for both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, as one of his writings, "Thoughts on Government".
