If the length of an arc is 12 inches and the radius of the circle is 10 inches, what is the measure of the arc?

I don't get this, keep getting it wrong. Can someone lead me through it???? PLZ

Assuming you are working in radians, the length of a circular arc is given by the definition of te radian:


s =r\theta which can be re-arranged to
\theta = (s)/(r)

Using supplied known values:

\theta = (12)/(10) = 1.2 radians
