Allen wants to cut a board that is 6 3/4 long into 1/2 foot sections how many sections can he cut

6/2= 3 so he can cut 3 sections from the whole 6 leaving the 3/4ths cut off 1/4 off of 3/4 and you have 1/2 so he can cut 4 sections into 1/2
