A method that Julia could use is by multiplying 1/2 by 2, 3, and 4. 1/2*2=2/2, 2/2*2=2/1, and 2/1*2=4. All of those fractions are equivalent to 1/2.

One thing that "Julia" could do is multiply the fraction by 2, 3, 4, etc. to get it. For example:

-(1x2)+(2*2) = 2/4
-(1x3)+(2x3) = 3/6

Follow this, and "Julia" can find fractions. I'm sorry if this didn't help, but please let me know if it did.
