5w + 8 -12w=16-15w
5w-12w=-6w
-6w+8=16-15w
-8 -8
-6w= 8-15w
+15w +15w
9w=8
w= 8/9

5w + 8 - 12w=16 -15w
You first minus 15w from each side=5w + 8 +3w=16
You then minus 8 from each side=5w+3w=8 which is 8w=8
Then you divide 8 by 8w=1
5(1) +8 -12(1)=16-15(1)
