The answer is: true.

A schema, at least as it has been used since the philosophical proposals of the empiricist philosopher, David Hume, is a way to correlate one´s own personal experience with the ideas or notions that are formed in the mind independently of generalities or abstractions; as such, a schema is, so to speak, a map or a mental picture that shows you possible solutions based on experience but applied to novel forms of experience.
