xcubed=x^3=x*x*x
if x=-2
-2 cubed+3=-2*-2*-2+3=4*-2+3=-8+3=-5

-2^3 + 3
The first step is to cube -2. This means you do this:
-2 * -2 * -2
This is equal to -8. Now, your equation looks like this:
-8 + 3
The answer to the above is
-5.
