4 1/8 - 2 3/8= (3 9/8-2 3/8)=1 6/8

2 2/8+ 2 3/8= 4 5/8

If she used 2 2/8 yards of fabric she should have 1 6/8 left not 2/38
She would have had to bought 4 5/8 yards of fabric to have 2 2/8 left.
