Given data:

* The weight of the person is 977.08 N.

* The numebr of the stairs given is 57.

* The height of the each stair is 0.30 m.

Solution:

The energy required to reach the top of the stairs is,

U=\text{mgH}

where mg is th weight of the person and H is the total height of the stairs,

Substituting the known values,

\begin{gathered} U=977.08*(57*0.30) \\ U=16708.07\text{ J} \\ U=16.71*10^3\text{ J} \\ U=16.71\text{ kJ} \end{gathered}

Thus, the energy required to reach the top of the stairs is 16708.07 J or 16.71 kJ.
