Abel cycled a total distance of 2 and 1 over 2 miles during the months of March and April.

that means

Since, 2 and 1 over 2 miles in mathematically expresses as :

2\text{ and 1 over 2=2}(1)/(2)miles

Since, he only cycled 1 over 8 of a mile every day is

1\text{ over 8 mile is =}(1)/(8)\text{ miles}

Since for determine the number of days, we have to distribute the total miles he travelled in the months by the miles he travlled in one day

\begin{gathered} \text{Number of Days he travelled=}\frac{Total\text{ distance in months of March and April}}{\text{Distance travel in one day}} \\ \text{Number of Days he travelled=}\frac{2\text{ and 1 over 2}}{1\text{ over 8}} \\ \text{Number of Days he travelled=2 and 1 over 2 }/1\text{ over 8} \end{gathered}

Answer : 2 and 1 over 2 ÷ 1 over 8
