1st piece = 7/12.

2nd = 5/12 longer.

2nd = 7/12 + 5/12 = (7 + 5) / 12 = 12/12 = 1.

2nd piece = 1 foot long.

Answer:

Explanation:

Alright lets get started.

Clad has two pieces of wood.

The length of first wood piece is=
(7)/(12)

length of the second wood piece is
(5)/(12) longer than the first wood piece.

So, the length of the second wood piece is =
(7)/(12)+(5)/(12)=(12)/(12)=1

Hence, the length of the second wood piece is 1 foot long. : Answer

Hope it will help.
