Metal mercury at room temperature is a liquid.Its melting point is -39*C.The freezing point of alcohol is -114*C. How much warmer is the melting point of mercury than the freezing point of alcohol?

The problem is worded a bit confusing, but think of it as if -39 degrees celcius is the freezing point for mercury. The solution is: 75 degrees Celcius.

-39°C is 75 Celsius degrees "warmer" than -114°C . . .
if you could call either one "warm".

( 75 Celsius degrees warmer is the same as 135 Fahrenheit degrees warmer.)
