PEMDAS
parenthases first
1/4+5/4=6/4=3/2
we now havve
3/2 times 2+ 3/4
multilication
3/2 times 2=6/2=3
now we have
3+3/4=12/4+3/4=15/4
15/4 or 3 and 3/4
