The Enlightenment brought out many new ideas most of the popular ones were used by the Founding Fathers of the United States. The Enlightenment scared many monarchs and you will see that few monarchies exist because of this. The Enlightenment brought out change big change. Absolute power was being dismantled by enlightened people. Many Revolutions and creation of free peoples and democracies happened. Everything changed from then on. Without the Enlightenment we would have no United States or any freedom as we know it.
