5(2x-8)+15=-15 -15 in both sides 5(2x-8)=-30 /5 2x-8=-6 +8 2x=2 /2 x=1 I hope it helps

5 (2×-8)+15= -15

distribute the 5 into (2×-8) and it becomes

10x-40 + 15 = -15

add -40 and +15

10× - 25 = -15

add +25 to both sides

10x= 10

divide both sides by 10

x = 1
