The Intolerable Acts, or Coercive Acts, were a set of laws that Parliament used to punish the colonies for the Boston Tea Party. The laws included that the main harbors were blocked off, colonies had to quarter British soldiers, the British government took over the government and town meetings were not allowed unless Parliament allowed them. To answer your question, I believe that the answer is: could not have their own government and town meetings were prohibited.
