there are 40 rows of seats in a small local concert hall, with 20 seats in each row. during typical concert performances, all seats cost $12. write an expression for the concert hall owners profit if "n" people buy tickets for one concert performance. evaluate the expression when n=124 and explain what this calculated value represents.

according to the problem statement the cost of operating the concert is $275, and each seat is sold at $12, so the profit p is:
p = 12n - 275
now we evaluate for n = 124
p = 12(124) - 275
= 1488 - 275
= 1213
so the profit for 124 sold seats is $1213
this figure represents the money that the organizer gains from organizing the concert despite the organizational cost
