two points of the line are p1(1,1) and p2(2,2)
with these we can find the line equation and do a table as well:
x y
1 1
2 2
that is the table with ordered pairs (you can increment the pairs)
We calculate the slope of the line using this equation:
m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
where x1, y1, and x2, y2 are the coordinates of points p1 and p2
so:
m = (2 - 1)/(2 - 1)
m = 1
the slope of the line is 1, now we use the equation of the line that passes through a point and has slope m:
y - y1 = m(x - x1)
y - 1 = 1(x - 1)
y - 1 = x - 1
y = x
that is the equation of the line
