United States : Wilson suggested"
Fourteen Points " that included
complete disarmament and free trade
among nations. He proposed that a
League of Nations be set up to settle
future disputes. The League of Nations
would be an organization promoting
international cooperation between all
countries. France : George
Clemenceau, also wanted to avoid
another war, although he strongly
believed that Germany should pay for
starting the war and for the damage
that had been done . Clemenceau
wanted to guarantee that Germany
would be too weak to ever attack
France again. Great Britain : believed
that many British people also felt the
same way as the French. But, he was
worried that a harsh treaty might cause
resentment and lead Germany to seek
revenge in the future
