Mary covered her kitchen floor with 10 tiles. The floor measure 6 feet long by 5 feet wide. The tiles are each 3 feet long and w feet wide, what is the missing feet wide?

The area of the floor is 6 ft x 5 ft or 30 square feet.
There are 10 tiles so 30/10 would give you 3 square feet for the area for each tile.
Area of tile= length x width
3=3w
w=1
The width is 1 foot wide.
