Multiply 2 1/2 . You would multiply the 2 times 2 , then add the 1. You would have 5/2 . Multiply 5 1/4 . Multiply the 5 by 4 and get 20 , then add 1. You would have 21/4. Then do 5/2×21/4=105/8. 105/8=17

First multiply 2x1. Thats your whole number. Now multiply 1x1 and 2x4. Your answer should be 2 1/8
